Latest happenings!

How about that snowstorm to end April?  Here are a couple of pictures taken by Gene and me.  The one I took, looking up Bradley Way, was taken at 6:00 a.m., just as the sun was trying to peek through.  Gene took the one of the tulips a little later in the day.  It was beautiful; however, we're glad it melted so quickly!

In March, we made a trip down to Zion National Park and St. George with Michael and Elizabeth.  Here are a few pictures of the park.  It snowed on the way up to the Emerald Pools, but, as you can see from one of the pictures, the sun finally came out a bit later on.

The reason for the trip?  To see and hear The Lettermen concert at Tuachan.  The Lettermen were popular back in the late 50's and have made a name for themselves ever since, though not as well-known now as then.  We enjoyed the concert immensely, as they sang many of our old favorites and were very personable--actually coming into the audience and shaking hands.  If we'd known they allowed pictures, we would have taken our cameras!

The end of March, Marcy and Dave Quick were sealed (married for eternity) in the Denver Temple on a quite cool and very windy evening.  It was great to be with family and friends who live in the Colorado area.  Afterwards, we all met at the Olive Garden for a delicious meal.  Congratulations to Marcy and Dave!
